In The World of Finnies - June 2016 Update

  1. News
  2. Blog
  3. Archive

It’s been a while since we published a blog post! Lots has happened in the world of Finnies Accountants so we thought we’d give you a general update from us.

Sports Events and Charity Fundraising

Finnies and our sister company, Stipendia Payroll Solutions have been busy with charity fundraising and sports events, and we’re proud to have supported so many different charities and causes.

Earlier in May Lynne, Jonathan, Callum and Anne ran in the Beverley 10k to raise money for GoKidsGo. The charity provides wheelchair skills training for wheelchair using children and their families. The event was a huge success, and amidst the scorching weather, we managed to raise £1000 for the charity.

Later that month, we joined forces with BNI and competed in a 5-aside football tournament to raise money for The Echoes Foundation. The event went well, and raised £518 for the charity who support children and young people from the Humber region with disabilities and additional needs.

Our latest sports event included our Office Manager, Anthony Green. He and his co-riders cycled 170 miles in the Coast to Coast from Morecambe to Bridlington. The event even included cycling up a 22% gradient hill, which sounds like madness to anyone who’s not a cyclist!

New company services

We’ve been hard at work bringing new services to different sectors for the business. We now offer services for musicians, including tax advice and incorporation of your business.

For anyone who may be interested in these services, you can find more on our website, or contact our Tax Specialist, Lynne, on 01482 861919.

Website Updates

We’re currently making some small changes to our website to make it more user friendly, including a new menu and even more new content, so keep an eye out for this!

Overall, it’s been a fantastic few months for the company and we’re thrilled with the charitable work we’ve been doing for great causes. We hope to get involved with more charity events in the future and keep supporting the local community.
