Prime Minister Keir Starmer has indicated that the government intends to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help boost UK growth.

In a recent speech, Mr Starmer outlined how the government will utilise AI across the UK to boost growth and efficiently deliver services.

The AI Opportunities Action Plan will create 13,250 new jobs and is endorsed by top technology businesses, a number of which have contributed £14 billion towards data centres and tech hubs.

The government has highlighted how it will make use of AI to help the public sector spend less time doing admin and more time delivering services. It also stated that the AI plan will create 'AI Growth Zones' around the UK, which will generate new jobs and big building projects.

In the speech, the Prime Minister said: 'Britain is going to shape the future. We are going to make breakthroughs, we are going to create the wealth and we are going to make AI work for everyone in our country.'
